Brian Cassidy, Director, Environment, Health and Safety, Purolator
Brian has more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience in occupational health and safety, disability management, employee assistance programs and environmental management systems. As Director, Environment, Health and Safety for Purolator Inc., Brian oversees health and safety programs, technology and reporting for more than 10,000 employees. Additionally, he is responsible for disability management, the transportation of dangerous goods, the safe operation of more than 4,000 commercial vehicles and environmental affairs and sustainability programs.
Prior to joining Purolator, Brian was Senior Manager of Health, Safety and Environment for Bell Media where he led the development and execution of health and safety and environmental strategies for the organization. Brian was co-lead of the safety and security functions for Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, where he planned and managed the safety and security of all Olympic Consortium employees. This work included the coordination of risk assessment and injury prevention initiatives, crisis-response planning and execution and liaising with government agencies.
For twenty years prior to working with CTV, Brian was Senior Manager, Health and Safety for Hudson’s Bay Company, where is was responsible for all matters related to health and safety and disability management.
